quitting PhD after switching from tier 4 to tier 2

Hi All,

I've successfully switched from tier 4 to tier 2 after completing 12 months (and few days) of PhD and I am now happily settled in my new job. Since I have the tier 2 can I quit my PhD since it has nothing to my work and I hate it? To clarify, I only want to know if quitting the PhD has any immigration implication on my tier 2.
