Tier 2 general dependent visa

Hi,

I had made a tier 2 general dependent visa application on the 5th of August from India VFS service and still haven't had an y response on the application. Its been more than 8 weeks and on enquiring on phone I've been informed that the application is still under processing and will take time and they cannot confirm any timelines.

I am worried now as its a straight forward application for a tier 2 genenral dependent and wonder why its taking so long. Is there anyone else in the same situation if so then what was the outcome of the application was it successful? Did you write any letters or anything.

I would appreciate any help on this.
