Financial requirements - Car benefit

Post by jamesa380 » Thu Oct 03, 2019 12:47 pm

Hi all,

I will soon be applying for the extension of my wife's UK spouse visa and I'm just getting the documentation ready for my proof of meeting up an financial requirement. if I have a total annual salary of £24,500 but a company car benefit to the value of around £7,000 is this a problem? this does not mean that £7,000 is reduced from my salary it simply means I pay a slightly higher tax bracket per month and my gross salary is still £24500.

Thanks in advance,
James

What kind of this car benefit which increase your tax deductions? Have they given you car to drive for official purpose or you taken a car loan (financing) from them?

It is a company leased car that I can drive in my personal time also. I have not paid any money towards or it leased it myself. But as it's a benefit it has an affect on my tax code. Gloss salary is still well over £18,600

Then simply attach the 6 months of payslips with bank statements with employer letter.

Your letter of employment will clear that up for you.

That letter should state your exact salary and payslips and bank statements to support it. As long as 6 months worth do add up to the required income you won't have a problem.

Husband's timeline - overstayer 11 yrs
08/16 - FLR (FP) Partner, refused 02/18, 03/18 - JR permission refused with merit
08/18 - FLR FP (Partner) PSC - Approved
07/20 - FLR FP to FLR M Switch - Approved, 03/23 FLR M Ext Approved.

This does not alter your gross income and so there should be no issue. UKVI looks at your gross income, not nett.

Benefits-in-kind are accounted for through an adjusted tax code, not by adjusting your gross pay.
