Travel outside UK pending Child naturalisation

Hello.

I have an ILR and applied for my two children (3 years and 5 months) to get the naturalisation on the 12/9/19. We are still pending decision but we need to travel back to Jordan urgently for a family matter.

I understand they can not come back to the UK without a visa. Can I apply for a tourist visa for them to come back to UK pending the naturalisation decision ? Would this affect their naturalisation application ?

You can but visa will be refused if they become British in the meantime
