Applied for ILR but how to check right to work

In timeline thread people mention about checking right to work and that it gets updated when ILR is approved.

I applied for ILR but my Tier 2 Dependent expired now, Can I check right to work with expired BRP ? if yes how and is there any other way ?

Members report it does not work with expired BRP numbers.
