Hi all as for myself, I had my main interview 7mos after my screening. I had my screening interview December 2018 and was invited for main July 2019 with biometric enrolment on the same day of my main interview. Just wait. I know it’s tough. But it will come. And just be calm on you’re main interview, focus and be consistent.

Hmmm.. It is a tricky one. This all depends on your case and also the judge that you get on the day if they are sympathetic with you or not. I once went through this and my oral was rejected. I wasted so much money. Sometimes solicitor's only think of the money.

Thanks Rina. It is a frustrating situation too. My child is autistic and has sleep apnea and is seen by doctor every 4 months

Hi Saim,
The way I see your case is that you have got 2 options; one is that you can wait for your child to turn 5 years old and then you can try for for the stateless application because there is a law for a child who has stayed in this Country for 5 years to apply for stateless citizenship it all depends with the Citizenship laws of your Country and you must show evidence that you have tried to register the child with your embassy and they have refused or you are facing obstacles in acquiring the required documentation to register your child at your Country embassy. AS your child is less than 5 years it is very difficult to win your case.
the second option is when your child turns 7 years old you can apply based on family and private life.YOU can apply for Nass support if you are not already in receipt. Lawyers are very expensive and you may not get the desired outcome , this is only my view, you have more chances of winning your case if you are fighting it based on the relevant law arguing your case. Good luck

HI Saim,
The reason why I said you can apply for NASS support if you are not already receiving it is because it can take a long time for you to sort out your status , nothing is ever easy with the home office , you will require a great deal of patience and perseverance. Sometimes solicitors will not tell you the merits of your case and you will keep on paying them money , I am not saying this is the case with you or your Solicitor, I am just trying to explain what happens sometimes. Like i said in my previous post , Stateless application is very difficult and it all depends with the Citizenship Laws of your Country and the Home office has recently tightened the requirements to register child as Stateless . I am not saying this to discourage you.

Hi Rina, I'm the username Tina28, just changed the username cos wasn't able to login with my previous username, lol. I was guessing that you have received a letter for your interview as mine was about 6 months after I claim asylum.

I've came to the UK with visitor visa twice. In the last visa a made asylum claim. Lived here with my partner and got pregnant. I was pregnant when I was claiming asylum and had my baby born here too.
Hope you receive your letter from the HO soon.

Hi everyone I am just wondering how long it takes for the home office to give decisions for asylum.
Claimed asylum November 2018, screening December 2018 main interview July 2019, I had biometrics on the same day of the main interview. Also is there any signs of having biometric enrolment?
