Hey Everyone,
Following on from my previous post. We had an interview on the 30th of September and few minutes after completion of the interview we received an email saying "your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets. We are continuing to work on your application and aim to make a decision as soon as possible."
Does it mean that the wait is going longer than it should again?
Yes Luisa, it means you might have to wait a bit longer. It’s quite unrealistic how you’ve waited for over 4 months for this. I pray you and your husband get this visa as soon as possible.
Hey Zemryk, it is indeed ridiculous...since May!
Wow I can’t even begin to imagine the stress you two have gone through. Continue to have patience, I’m sure before this month ends you’ll receive good news.

Did you email them before they sent you that or they just sent themselves?

Nope. I didn’t email them. They sent it themselves. It seems they’re busy with the many applications on their hands

Yes there is a way and it comes with a charge. Also, from most responses on this platform, they’d just escalate it and tell you to wait for 15 working days more.

Smh that is quite unfortunate
Then it’s best to wait for that 15 days without paying to be told to do that
What isn’t straightforward for them
Does the application not point to the type of eea
Whether spouse or child or whatever ?
Hazani he’s applying from Ghana

Yes Afia I actually do not know what isn’t straightforward with them because I submitted every necessary document. Birth certificate, residence cert&permits, work permits, WhatsApp chats, tb test certs, you name it, scanned over 200 pages during biometrics. So I guess being patient is the only thing I can do now.

If you’ve not received a ‘not straightforward mail’, then rest assured you’d get your visa within 15 working days

I am so nervous because today I received an email that Please be informed you that your passport is ready for collection, please visit your nearest UK Visa Application centre along with original receipt.
I applied for my mother from Karachi. My wife is Eea settled status and I have dual nationality, so my wife applied for her mother in law (my mother).
Timeline:
Online application submitted on 30th June 2019.
But my mother booked biometric late on 19th August 2019.
20 August 19- email received that Your online application has been received at the UK Decision Making Centre. Your application is currently being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer.
30 August 19 at 6am - The processed visa application for GWF reference number - GWFxxxxxxxx was received at the UK Visa Application Centre on 8/30/2019 .
And surprisingly within an hour another email received-
Please be informed you that your passport is ready for collection, please visit your nearest UK Visa Application centre along with original receipt, and original CNIC with copy from Monday to Friday in between 09:00 AM to 04:00 PM.
I informed my mother and now so much anxious about the decision. Hope finger crossed
Congratulations Brother. I am in the same boat. I applied for my mother. I have been reading about rejections for dependent parents for not showing enough evidence of financial dependency. This is one of the first messages that is successful. I am happy for you. If you dont mind, can you please provide list of documentation you provided ( just incase mine gets rejected, i would like to have things covered when i reapply )? If its helpful please send it to
bhrk.fam@gmail.com gmail account.

Bro my best wishes are with you. you will get it if you have submitted all necessary documents/details required. best of luck and please do inform.
Congratulations Brother. I am on the same boat. Applied already on Oct 4th with biometrics done on the same date. I just read too many rejections for dependent parents. Anyway do you mind sharing what documentation helped you? That will be helpful if i need to reapply.
