Got a decision in 61 working day from biometric
So i submitted my online application 16 july 2019 and got email for collection on 16 october 2019

I got a call today (16/10/19) from UKVI asking me (the sponsor) about my employment as I've had two jobs in the last 12 months. It lasted 36mins, they asked about my jobs, salary, role, how I applied, what the building looks like, who I work with. So it was a bit bizarre in that sense.

They said they'd now contact my employers both past and present.

Also Fif, I asked if they'd received all the documentation and they said they'd received everything even with the awful VFS upload.

But I haven't had the "your case is not straight forward" email yet.

That's great about them being able to see your documents! You won't receive a case not straight forward e-mail this soon in the process. It's usually close to the 60 day mark.

IHS top up payment asked again 3 times October 16
IHS payment made October 17,2019

I made a second payment on October 17, seems like there system having glitches, so I escalate the case and ask for a refund of payment made on the date of application.
Hence I would have gotten through within the stipulated time given 12wks ( 60 days) but because the delay of IHS payment they weren't seen it on their system.

Passport collected: October 23, 2019

Total of 87 WD including today

Can somone tell me how long it will take?

On 16th october Recieved email ; We escalated your case to the relevant department on (16/10/2019). You should be contacted regarding your case within 15 working days from the date of escalation or sooner.


22nd October recieved email ; With regards to your enquiry about the status of your application, I can confirm that your application is being considered and is currently awaiting a decision. It can take up to 60 working days for a decision to be made from the date of your biometrics .If you haven't had a decision by the 07/01/2020 which it will be the 60 working days then please contact us again and we well escalate the case for you .We strongly recommend that you do not buy a non-refundable, non-flexible ticket to the UK, until your visa application has been approved and you have received your documents.




25th October Recieved email From VISAINFO.SHEFFO.FCO.GOV.UK ; Regarding Visa Application : We can confirm that your application has been received and is currently awaiting action. UKVI aim to make a decision on settlement applications within 30 working days of the date of Biometrics for Priority applications.
