How far in advance to submit FLR(M)?

Post by fin643 » Wed Oct 23, 2019 11:21 pm

Hi

Im in a similar situation and am just trying to do my maths. I arrived 5th Nov 2017 - current visa expires 25th July 2020. So am I right to say that I could apply from 6th April 2020 - being 28 days prior to 5th May 2020, which is 30mths in UK - and still be ok to set myself up to apply for ILR at the end?

Alternatively, what is the latest date that I could apply? i.e. could I apply on 24th July 2020 with out any concerns of been classed as an overstayer?

Both approaches as above are fine as long as you have the required type and amount of documents. Also remember that date of online submission of application is the date of application and the date of enrolling & scanning the documents can be after the visa expiry.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Great - thanks for clarifying - I've been searching for that answer everywhere to no avail, so thanks for that!
