1. You apply for a visa when you have a cos and meet the requirements. You get an initial 30 days visa vignette to enter the UK.
2. Within the 30 days of your initial visa validity.
4. Please do not post your visa application questions in the October RCoS topic.

Can expiry date change and job start date change be amended to assigned CoS?

Your sponsor can add a note to change start date but not by 90 days.
Your visa expiry date once issued cannot change but you can state a date of intended travel or if you cant travel, apply for a new 30 days vignette which costs about £200.

I have not yet submitted the visa application. I meant a change in Cos expiry date (which is usually 3 months from Cos start date)

A cos is valid to USE within 3 months to apply for a visa. This is different to the length of the cos, or 2 years or 3 years etc. Once it is assigned it cannot be changed. It would have to be withdrawn and reapplied for.

Hi. Am from India and will be coming to UK. I have been assigned a CoS on 25 October,2019 and will expire in 26 Jan ,2020. The job start date is on 3rd Jan. As I am currently working in India, I need to serve the notice period of 3 months which will end on Jan 30,2020. I am aware that the work start date can be amended in the SMS portal. I can travel to UK only on February 1,2020. So obviously my CoS would have expired by then. So can I travel with a valid work start date on CoS( amended date) and a valid Visa but with an expired CoS?
Thanks in advance

Thank you for the response given on Friday. But as I still had queries regarding the visa vignette and CoS expiry for my travel I had to again post my complete situation for a better understanding.

Hi,
I am now filling visa application form for me ( primary applicant) and my wife and son who are my dependents . Could you please help me with the below quiries
1.Under "Your Address" section
Should I enter my home address that is documented in my passport and other ID cards or my current living address
As my current living address is different (it is my wife's address) I have marked NO for the question "Is this address also your correspondence address?" and given my wife's address in the correspondence address
I have not updated the address to my wife's address in my documents (ie passport and other ID proofs)
2.Under "About this property" section
How long have you lived at this address
For this should I mention about my documented address or my correspondence address where I am currently living
3.In my son's passport we have given my wife's address only as since his birth he is also residing in this address with us
4.Will there be any issue as my wife and son have one address but I have a different address
Thanks in advance

Hi,
Could you please help me with the below
My sponsor has agreed to certify my maintenance ( given in my CoS)
1. Should I need to provide a proof of Accomodation letter from friend / family with whom I will be staying upon arrival in the UK?
2. Should I have to produce bank statements for showing my funds?
Thanks
