Tier 4 dependent visa during pregnancy

Post by madhushukla47 » Wed Oct 30, 2019 7:02 am

Hello! My husband is applying for MBA program (January 2020 intake). He will be filing visa in December 1st week. I am expecting and my EDD is February 13th 2020. I am confused whether I should apply for dependent visa along with him or should I wait for delivery in my home country. Can anyone guide me on below:-
Q
1) Chances of visa refusal due to pregnancy
2) How long NHS formalities take if I reach UK in December last week or January 1st week (Christmas Holiday time)
3) Do I have to pay in case of cesarean delivery to NHS or it is covered.

I know it's quite irrelevant query but we are seriously very confused.

Thank you in advance!

Zero. Are you reading something that suggests pregnancy could be grounds for refusal? Link?

It depends what you mean by "formalities", but registering with a GP is done at a surgery and is very quick.

Your visa application automatically includes the Immigration Health Surcharge. See https://www.gov.uk/healthcare-immigration-application
I do not give immigration advice. I refer you to Immigration Rules, guidance, other online content and to your sponsor.

Formalities means registration with GP and NHS and other paper work if required as that time will be a holiday period.

It is not a complicated process and the GP surgeries and NHS are open over the holidays. The UK does not 'shut down' over Christmas.

You will however, need to consider whether your pregnancy will be past the date when the airline will permit you to fly.
