IHS refund or re-use

Post by medici » Sat Nov 02, 2019 12:07 pm

Hi, I had applied 5 year visa for my child (my T2 general visa expires in 2024) and paid IHS accordingly for 5 years = 2000 GBP. However, the visa awarded to my child was only for 2 months owing to my wife's visa expiring in Dec 2019 (she also holds a T2 General visa). My wife has applied for her extension now.
If I now apply for my child's visa extension as my dependent, can I use the earlier IHS reference number or do I need to ask for a refund from the previous IHS payment and do a fesh payment?
Please advise.
