ICT tier 2 dependent to Tier 4 general

Hi,

I am on ICT tier 2 dependent visa in UK. And for a postgraduate course for which duration is over 18 months I am switching to Tier 4 general. Could you please advise if this visa switching can be done in UK or I will have to travel to home country to apply and switch to Tier 4 General student visa?

Sorry my query is for Tier 4 General not Tier 2 general.
