The only confirmation you get is an email which is straight away after submitting the online application on gov.uk
You don’t get any confirmation after you’ve done your biometrics and scanned your docs. Unless you buy hoods24 text message service.

Hello hoods24,
thank you so much for the reply,
you mean no acknowledgement email from Home office is OK, he never got any email except the one when he submitted that was asking for taking an appointment with Spora

Hi guys,
I had applied for my ILR - SET (P) in beginning of May 2019 and I'm still waiting for ILR.

Applied for ILR Route : SET(P)
Date application sent : 02-05-2019
Document received by HO : Online
Ack letter received (if applicable) : Email received on 03-05-2019
Biometric Letter received : Email received on 05-05-2019
Date Biometrics Enrolled : 23-05-2019
Payment Debited : NA
Approval/Refusal Received : Still waiting
BRP Card Received : Still waiting
Today 6 months have been completed, no update received yet. I've contacted HO over the phone, the person at call centre said there is no service standard for SET (P) applications however I should have received within SIX months. They've asked me to write a letter to UKVI asking for update. So.......... I'm going to write a letter now.

I hope the letter will speed the process up and you will get your Brp ASAP. Maybe get the MP involved too.
All the best and keep us updated.

Update:
I was just about to write a letter today but received letter from HO, saying they aim to process all applications within 6 months but my application has caused some complexity and that they'll process it within 3 more months. (new date given 01 Feb 2020)
So... God willing I shall now wait another 3 months.

Hello hoods24,
Thank you for your reply , just would like to let you know My Friend has received his approval and BRP, although he has never received any acknowledgement email or letter from the HO when he submitted his application , so it means the acknowledgement email or letter is not something you have to worry about when you apply online.

That’s brilliant news!
I think the confirmation email you get is the acknowledgement and you’ve got to receive atleast something so you’re sure that you’re application is submitted now. Thanks a lot for updating!

Stay positive. Surely you’ll get your BRP within 3 months. As every application is different so they take there time with it. All the best and thanks for updating.

Hello All,

I have submitted my Refugee ILR application though the solicitor.
Applied for ILR Route refugee after 5 years
Date application submission: 17 October 2019
Document received by HO: Online
Date Biometrics Enrolled: 24 October 2019
Email confirmation: Still waiting
Approval/Refusal Received: Still waiting
BRP Card Received: Still waiting

I haven’t received any email confirmation. Any idea how long it takes for HO to process the application through the new system?

Many thanks in advance 😊

Thanks for replying. I didn’t wanted to use solicitor but I was just scared to apply on my own I guess.
Shall I ask my solicitor about the confirmation email Or it just okay to wait?
Waiting time very frustrating though 😊

The Home Office does not usually send confirmation emails for ILR applications.

Hi all, I'm appling my set P application, during the application there are questions about the origin passport and as I have applied for Travel document, the home office didn't return my passport so I have chose that I don't have my origin passport and have UK travel document.

now when I checked the required documents page they ask me to provide the travel document from origin country when I have chosen the counrty authorised it UK home office.

does it normal things or I have made a mistake when filled out the application?
Thanks,

Hi Ahmad2019,
Yes, it always comes up as a mandatory option even if you selected 'No' for original passport.

Do you have a scanned copy or a photocopy of your original passport? If yes, then please scan it and upload it. And in the comments / just mention that you do not have the original passport but only a photocopy or scanned copy. The original passport is with Home Office already (in past).

It was exactly same with me. I did not have my original passport as it was with Home Office from past many years. But I had the scanned copy which I uploaded in my application.

Regards,
Max

Hi Ninazara,

As per the latest process, the HO only send one email that contains the Application Reference Number. It is the same email that has details about Biometrics. When you filled the application, did you provide your email address or solicitors used their?
Soon after the application, you should have received a confirmation email regarding your application submission. That contains your application reference.

Check your JUNK/Spam folder as well if you haven't checked yet.

Max

Thanks for the help Max
Another question apologies if not relevant on this form .

I would like to know whether with the refugee status I can invite my brother from non EU country?
I’ve recently applied for ILR and waiting for the approval because of exceptional circumstances I can’t visit my country even after refugee ILR and I haven’t seen my family for years.
My brother is married with children and has his own business in back home.
I work full time and have salary of 45k and have my own house . I want to fully financially sponsor my brother so he can visit and stay with me for a month or two.
Is there any way that I can invite him and what’s the requirements please?

Thanks in advance.

Yours faithfully,

That's great news, many congratulations!

Did you returned your expired brp & TD back to HO?

During the application process did you get any confirmation email or letter from HO?

It might be helpful...

Thanks in advance

Hi real pearl

Good to know that you have received your BRP in just 3 months time.... I applied on 24th and biometric done on 28th. So my 3 months going to be completed on 28th.... hopefully I may get the BRP exactly after 90 days... Finger Crossed....

Waiting period is very much frustrating.... has anyone else applied in the month of august and still waiting...
plz update
