DUBLIN, Ireland 17 July, 2008 - Dublin-based internet radio and immigrant community resource website BabylonRadio.com officially launches its site with a celebration at Floridita nightclub at 8pm on 24 July 2008.
Steered by local visionary Derren Hogarty, http://babylonradio.com/ offers a platform for newcomers to Ireland that connects them with the resources they need for a more productive experience in the country.
“After teaching English for 12 years to young adults who travelled from all over Europe to Ireland for that opportunity, I couldn’t help but connect a common theme amongst my students; they didn’t know where to go to find information on practical issues that would help them settle into life here. I got the idea to start BabylonRadio.com in an effort to ease their transition. On the site, people can review resources from a variety of topics, from settling disputes with landlords and finding a good GP to where to go for Japanese food or a decent cup of coffee.â€
