Online EEA PR and EU passport return service available

Hi, submit the online application and attend an appointment within the 10 days. Book the appointment first, obviously. They make photocopies of your ID documents and you get them back right away. The supporting documents you get back in the mail. I'd recommend including a tracked self-addressed envelope so you know when it's being sent back to you.

Can you only use the passport return service if it's available in your borough? Our registry office doesn't provide the service, but there are others within easy reach that do. One even offers it as a drop-in service- so no appointment.

Will I get my passport and RC returned to me as a non-EEA national? I know this can take a bit of time and we are travelling in July/Aug. Also, I'm currently interviewing for jobs and will need it to provide proof of my eligibility to work. Plus, we are in the process of registering our son as British, which will require our passports.

Like djgrubber, neither of our passports state a city as place of issue, and both of our passports were issued at the embassies in London, US and Netherlands. They have both authority. I'm putting what's in our passports, so I hope that's okay.

Can you please your status regarding the Passport return service for Non-EU nationals?
We are in a very similar situation: My wife (non-EU) needs to apply for a UK residence (I am a EU national by the way).
I am planning to make an application for registration certificate for MYSELF and also include her residence application into mine.
I was wondering if it was possible for my wife (non-EU) to be eligible for the EPRS and thus receive the passport back right away.

I’m non-eea and my husband is eea.
We sent out EEA PR online form to Home office.
There was not place to sign, so we didn’t sign it.
Is it a problem?
Should I send the application form again with our signatures ?
Did anyone apply EEA PR with same situation?

I am very confused in the application process and I would truly appreciate some help. I have began my online EEA (PR) application on 03/06/2019 and paid a fee of £65 on 04/06/2019. I did not know how difficult it will be to get an appointment with UKVAS (Sopra Steria). After the payment I have found out that my appointment must be done before 02/07/2019, but there is not available slot in my area and due to my travelling I can't choose last available slot on 01/07/2019.

Could I still get an appointment after 02/07/2019 or am I loosing money as the application will be surely unsuccessful? How can I get my £65 back if I wish to wait, as I am not willing to pay additional fees for appointments out-of-hours.

If I will decide to pay a fee £100 to get an appointment on time, what will happen? Do officers take my passport for check and I will be without a passport for some time or do they return it to me immediately? If so, how long I will be without the passport?
I have found out that Biometric Checks can be done on Post Offices with this services as well, am I allowed to let my passport and fingerprints checked on Post Office instead of organizing the Sopra Steria appointment?

Upload of Documents requires a Proof of Identity, does it mean I have to upload a picture of my passport or are those my results of Biometrics Checks? When I am uploading the rest of the documents, do I have to have them stamped by relevant authority or are they going to be accepted as they are? Some of my payslips were sent to me by electronically, therefore their validity could be questioned.

I am in the same position as you were few weeks ago but i didn't submit my application yet. Did you manage to get anywhere with your appointment?

Following submission of the main application, we were redirected to Sopra Steria website, where scans of all documents should be uploaded.
There is clear information about the extended timeframes due to an increased number of applications, so please read this information as it may change at any time.
Additional, paid service at Scotia Steria is just to allow for more convenient slots and to potentially check documents. We have supplied over 60 documents for the main applicant, 50 for myself and about 10 for our daughter, so there was no point and we visited Croydon Sopra Steria for no additional cost.
They require “originals” just in case scans are illegible.
I have uploaded electronic copies of our photos, but we were requested to provide printed copies (which luckily, we had), so the lady could…scan those.
They also check and scan passports and any IDs, so there is no requirement to send those.
No biometrics were taken. We were told that as EU citizens, we are not required to give our biometrics.
So now, we are waiting for the response. Most of our friends received theirs in 2-3 weeks, but that was last year. I am worried that the staff has been redeployed elsewhere so we won’t hear anything in the next few months.

I am wondering if anyone can help me out pls? Basically i got my biometric residence card in August 2019 on the basis of EEA/EFM. I received all my documents before brc but haven’t got my passport yet and its been 3 months now. I applied initially in 2015 but got rejected and then tribunals and I submit a new application in April 2019 and got my biometric residence card in aug 2019

I filled the online form but I didn’t even receive the confirmation of email from HO. Pls give me the suggestions is there any forum to contact to get back my passport.

Hi all, does anyone know of any guidance or information having been issued on when with HO stop accepting applications for PR from EEA citizens (given Brexit and EU Settlement Scheme)? Will it stop on 31 January or will it remain open for applications until the end of the transition period (assuming we will have one)?
