UK Tier-2 ICT Visa extension

I am already holding a Tier-2 long term visa and my BRP is going to end by 29th December, my company has decided to extend my visa, so it will be an in country extension.

My question is if i leave the UK for Christmas vacation and get back on the 28th of December, as my BRP is valid till 29th of December, would i be able to get it or is there anything that i cannot get it as my visa is valid only for one after that. i am asking this as i don't think my new BRP would be arriving before and would wanna go to my home country for Christmas vacation.
