18th September - Online application date
25th September - Biometrics
25th September - Text message received stating application forwarded to UKVI
15th October - Email received stating application received in Sheffield

It has been 28 working days since biometrics.

Can somone tell me how long it will take?

On 16th october Recieved email ; We escalated your case to the relevant department on (16/10/2019). You should be contacted regarding your case within 15 working days from the date of escalation or sooner.


22nd October recieved email ; With regards to your enquiry about the status of your application, I can confirm that your application is being considered and is currently awaiting a decision. It can take up to 60 working days for a decision to be made from the date of your biometrics .If you haven't had a decision by the 07/01/2020 which it will be the 60 working days then please contact us again and we well escalate the case for you .We strongly recommend that you do not buy a non-refundable, non-flexible ticket to the UK, until your visa application has been approved and you have received your documents.




25th October Recieved email From VISAINFO.SHEFFO.FCO.GOV.UK ; Regarding Visa Application : We can confirm that your application has been received and is currently awaiting action. UKVI aim to make a decision on settlement applications within 30 working days of the date of Biometrics for Priority applications.

16th October: Employer 1 contacted
17th October: Employer 2 contacted

If you have paid for priority service, you should get decision within 30 working days not 60 days (which they apparently said in their email to you). It's 30 wd from biometrics so you should count 30 wd from 15 October.

Mine is also priority service and my biometrics was on 10th october.

Usually a decision is made 2 or 3 weeks after the email that says your application is received and is being considered by entry Clearance officer.

Got granted my husbands visa today ( he’s from turkey )
Priority spouse visa service (30 WD)
4th October 2019- biometrics appointment
18th October 2019- email confirmed it has been received at the decision making centre.
4th November 2019- 2 emails- first one stated ‘ we are pleased to inform your application is almost over, you will be notified when to collect passport’
Second email (10 minutes after )- ‘ your passport is ready for collection’
5th November ( today) - collected passport with visa inside

So just to note I didn’t get any decision email or anything.. no one was contacted regarding employment or accommodation etc. So don’t go based on other people’s emails as everyone will get different emails.

My wife is also Turkish and we applied around same time as yours. Can I please ask what time of the day should I expect the email from UKVI so I don't have to check my emails every two seconds.

Hey wow very simmilar, litetally a day apart. Atleast you know they have started on your application since they have contacted you and employers. I have not received any contact. Im waiting for telephone call about employment. Did yours go okay?

Hi yeah call went ok
They rang me in the morning around 8am it lasted around 36mins of I can remember when I was on the way to work.
They rang my employer the same day later on in the day.
Then they rang my previous employer the next day.
That's because I used 9 wage slips over a 12months period as I've only been with my current employer for less than 6 months.

According to TLS contact's tracking, my application is sent back to them which means a decision has been made. Now we wait for tls to receive and post my wife's passport to find out what decision is made.

No email yet just says my application is transferred to vac. My solicitor said this means a decision is made. I think once tls recieve my wife's passport today or tomorrow, they will sent it to my hometown. I should get an email from UKVI or tls tomorrow or later today.
By monday we will hopefully find out.
