Tier 2 General Dependant visa for child born in the UK

Post by consulshantanu » Thu Nov 07, 2019 5:58 pm

Hi,

Would be great if you could help. I am on Tier 2 General visa and my wife is my PBS dependent on the same visa valid until 2021, after which we will go for renewal. We had a baby boy on 05.09.2019 and got his Indian passport delivered today. I now need to apply for his leave to remain, as we would like to travel with him for which I have fiiled out the form on the following link: https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... dant-child, however I have a few queries:

1. Is this the correct link?
2. I have ticked No to the question which says has my sponsor agreed to certify your maintenance - even though it says Yes in my COS, my employer can't provide a letter certifying maintenance so just to be on a safer side
3. In the document section, it asks the child for a Statement from personal bank account - should this be my account as my child does not have any account yet, also me and my wife keep our savings in a joint account (which is not my salary account) in UK which has more than sufficient funds? Are they happy with this account or do I have to show my salary account?
4. Documents showing you have had at least £630.00 in cash savings for 90 consecutive days- what additional documents i need to supply in addition to by bank account statement ?

CAn you please help?

1. Is this the correct link?

Yes

2. I have ticked No to the question which says has my sponsor agreed to certify your maintenance - even though it says Yes in my COS, my employer can't provide a letter certifying maintenance so just to be on a safer side

Yes Tick No and Submit 3 months bank statements with minimum £630 back 90 days.

3. In the document section, it asks the child for a Statement from personal bank account - should this be my account as my child does not have any account yet, also me and my wife keep our savings in a joint account (which is not my salary account) in UK which has more than sufficient funds? Are they happy with this account or do I have to show my salary account?

Yes should be fine because you also submit birth Certificate with application.

4. Documents showing you have had at least £630.00 in cash savings for 90 consecutive days- what additional documents i need to supply in addition to by bank account statement ?

Bank Statement is enough

Thanks Sachin, on the below

Would the joint account statement do (this is not my salary account and has the required savings), I don't maintain any savings in my salary accounts, its just for salary credit. Do i need to submit statement of both the accounts?

Once again, thanks for your help
