Parents visitor visa

Post by Rosejuve » Fri Nov 08, 2019 9:24 pm

Hi all
Please I need some help, Am 32 weeks pregnant and I would like to invite my parents to come to UK and be with me for sometime because I will be on maternity leave for couple of months. Am not sure about the documents to submit to the Uk Embassy. Am living with my partner but we are not married yet. We have a joints account all our savings is in there. Is it possible to use a joints account to invite them , and what other documents do I need to support them please?
They are not working but they have a house there (Tanzania) and 4 children , 2 still living with them. I always support them for living. Thanks

Hello
I always support them for living
I would keep this totally out of the scope of a visitor visa.

It's important they show a maximum of ties with their home country. What helps:

- They own a property
- They have a lot of relatives in their country
- Fewer relatives in the UK
- Have business / work / reponsibilities...

The main thing is they show strong ties to their home country.

You need to send them:

- Write a letter stating your circumstances and that you are inviting them. A single page letter is enough
- 3 months payslips
- 3 months account statement showing the salary coming in.
- Proof of address (utility bill)
- Copy of your id

Then then can apply online providing their own documents too.
