There’s really no good explanation. I just had to be patient and believe they had too many applications to deal with. What country are you applying from?

No I didn’t receive any email after the 2nd not straightforward email. I just got the sms that my passport was ready for collection.

My bad I didn’t read this well. Calling is a waste of time and money. They usually escalate for 15days. Personally I didn’t contact them throughout. So I’m really relieved cos I was beginning to think I’d have to wait 60days. I hope and pray you receive positive feedback/news within 30 days at least

My bad I didn’t read this well. Calling is a waste of time and money. They usually escalate for 15days. Personally I didn’t contact them throughout. Passport received on 13th of November with Visa Stamped on the 19th of October

The waiting process was very painful and there is not much to do other than wait as we`ve learned but I hope you will all find the patience and strength to finalise this process. Good luck!

I think only the first email is paid & the rest are free. Update us on the outcome.

Hi Shoman1212, 5 months and no return of passport! Did you ask to escale the issue?
Did you ask them what is the maximum waiting time?
Also,was your application was refused previously at all?

I am also in a similar situation, although I did not apply from Rome. I am also really frustrated about how long this process takes just to get a entry visa of 6months - you have to wait and apply 6 months earlier??! The system is a joke!

Yeah, the first email I received explained that it was going to take 60 working days. I emailed them several times for explanations about why it's taking too long but they never had a reasonable answer, always the same answer "Awaiting decision".
It's has been escalated for the 4th time now, spent a lot in calling. It's really frustrating not having the possibility to travel, just waiting, waiting and waiting.
Sorry you're in the same situation. The 4th escalation will expire on the 27th of this month, afterwards I think I'm going to ask for my passport to be sent back to me.

I'm also in a similar situation as you, my status is "awaiting decision" too, applied in TLScontact Madrid. Already 56 working days. My mom living in London called them a couple of times already... it is so frustrating.

Yeah Hola, it is... unfortunately that's the current situation. Some people are lucky enough to get their after 2/3 months while others have to wait for ages. Please do let me know if they reply you hopefully with good news. Cheers for sharing
