Parents Visa

Hi all,

I am a British Citizen (applied via student visa 8 years, post study work visa 2 years and then ILR). Got my passport in 2016.

My parents currently resides in Hong Kong, where I am also from. I would very much like them to migrate to the UK, what will be the best route/visa?

I also have 2 other siblings and both British citizen via similar routes.

The route to settlement for adult dependent relatives has been virtually closed since the Immigration Rules changed in July 2012.

In order for your parents to be granted a settlement visa they would BOTH have to submit documented evidence that they need daily care for basic tasks, such as bathing, dressing, preparing food etc., AND that care is either not available in their home country or is not affordable.

If they apply for a settlement visa and are refused, the door will close for any visitor visa applications in the future, due to their prior intention to settle. The same rules apply for your siblings.
