Hi All,
I have a query I hope someone can help with and put me at ease hopefully!
I've been in the UK for 35 years on ILR (US passport) and now am starting to apply for a biometric ID card for the first time, I spoke to the Home Office as clearly I won't have documentation for every year going back all this time (simply put anything before 2006 is patchy at best), the advice given was to include a cover letter stating why there are gaps and try to fill in the last ten years as best as possible which I've done. I have supplied school and college documents to help fill these gaps and my work and bank are also supplying documents to support my case.
I did also have 11 months out of the UK back in 1999.
Is there anyone out there who thinks this is a fairly staight forward application, or are there any dangers they see with this scenario?
My biometric appointment is'nt till 27th December so I have time to add further documents if anyone thinks this will help.
