It is. I’ve had the sane response from my solicitor but no escalation. Thankfully used our own email address so I can see any correspondence.

I’m still deciding whether to chase or be patient and not aggravate them.

Did you have any complexity in your case that may have resulted in the email, if you don’t mind me asking?
I don't mind at all :)

Nothing with the case itself, but apparently they never received my supporting documents even though I had a receipt to prove that they were all uploaded and accepted on 15th August. (Biometrics were taken on 19th August.)

So on the 50th working day that's when they sent the email saying they hadn't received my supporting documents. I then had to post my supporting documents to the scan hub in London and pay about ~£92.

Thereafter on the 58th working day I got an email saying my case is not straight forward.
Thank you for clarifying. I suppose I’m trying to understand if the generic ‘automated’ email is fit to complexity of case or to do with manpower and other delays not related to manpower

Still deciding whether I should escalate or not as the customer service standard can take us up to 6 months :(

It’s agonising
Bless you. Yes it is very much :( So far I've not seen my husband for nearly 8 months. It's very upsetting.

How long have you been waiting since application and biometrics?
Here is my timeline:

Application Category: Settlement Husband
Priority level: Non-Priority
Location: Islamabad
Application submitted (Online): 05/09/2019
Biometrics enrolled: 18/09/2019
Email Recieved from ECO: 10/10/2019
Sponsor and applicant interview invite: 21/11/2019
Sponsor and applicant interview date: 02/12/2019
Processing of case not straightforward email: 05/12/2019
Contacted for Collection:
Collection made:

Thankfully I saw my husband again in November but it’s just not easy when I’m trying to start a life and working full time means it’s not easy to have a jet setting lifestyle

I think you’re a month ahead of me so I hope you hear something very soon!

Can you please wait after 2weeks before you escalate, I read one of the previous post that had similar issue, his solicitor told him to hold on for another 2weeks when he got not straightforward, but at the end of that 2weeks he was granted, though Christmas holiday is approaching, HO will soon go on holiday and they wint be back till 2nd of January or thereabout. It is is so frustrating but please let us be calm and take it easy so that we wont get frustrated,.

That’s a good shout Pawson. I’m not expecting anything until the New Year.

Please keep me up to date as we received the email around the same time!

7 weeks for me this wednesday! This waiting game is painful stressing:( . No point in phoning them its all a money making scheme. They have no updates whatsoever. All they say is that the application in under process and awaiting a decision. And charge a bomb for the call! They go through the terms and conditions of the call while your on hold and exactly the same terms once you are connected to an agent! Ridiculous.

Priority application
biometrics- 10/10/19
Not straightforward email - 18/11/19
contacted for update on 6/12/19 - currently awaiting decision.

The wait is so frustrating. I don’t understand how the HO find it acceptable to take payment for “priority” service and then provide little to no communication.

anyone else with a similar timeline?

U.K hone office usually start their holiday few days to Christmas and resume back 2nd of January. Though is only those bank holidays (25th, 26th Dec and 1st of January) that will be counted as bank holiday, but normally the office will be closed, there wont be any treated case during those holiday

Hi guys. I found this website and to be honest its helped me calm down and know that im not the only one going through this game of waiting.
I basically submitted on the 25th October 2019.
My husband is from kenya so im not sure about the processing time.
He went to the biometric on the 28th.
Same day he received an email stating prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer.
It will be 7 weeks this Friday and nothing yet.
Its non priority btw. Im just dreading this. Please pray for us and everyone going through this
