Spouse visa extension application

Post by JimmyQ » Tue Dec 17, 2019 1:37 pm

Good Afternoon to All,

I am new to this forum and from what l have read this is the place to get answers.

My story.. I am due for spouse visa extension in February.. I only started working in on 15th July this year.. I do earn above the required amount. I want to use my income as financial proof.. I will be applying on the 1st of February as I only get my payslip on the 30 January.

Can I use this route as I will only have been working for 6 months 15 days since arrival..

Any response would be greatly appreciated...

No issues as you should have been working from the last 6 months before the date of application under category A. Simply submit 6 months of payslips with corresponding bank statements and an employer letter.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Hi Seagul,

Thank you for your reply. I started filling in application form and got all documentation ready last night.. There are a few confusing questions but my may concern was the financial requirement which you cleared up for me.

Thanks again.

Congrats, always nice to get good news. Out of curiosity, your previous posts suggests you were waiting until February to ensure you had sufficient evidence to satisfy the financial requirement, what changed to enable you to apply earlier?
I'm just a guy on the Internet who immigrated to the UK. My opinions are based on my experience and interpretation of the immigration rules and should not be considered legal or immigration advice; your mileage may vary.

Hi Geoeng

Yes I was waiting for final pay slip but also had the means of using cash savings. With employment I wanted to show that I am working and that I am settling into life in the UK.
A project at work might have me traveling abroad so I search on here to see if I could get my application done sooner and found that because I have been in the UK over 31 months (that is 2.5years from date of first visa issued and arriving in the UK) I decided to go the savings route.

Hi All...

Just an update...

I received my confirmation letter and BRP delivery on Monday 13th January.. I wasn’t home so I had to re schedule my delivery and changed it to my work address at a cost of 6.95. Today I received my BRPcard.

Good luck to everyone and remember to keep your application as simple as possible and answer truthfully.

Here’s to another 30 months 🍸🍸🎈🎈
