Applying to EC with HSMP Approval Letter from U.S

Post by mailtobalu » Tue Jul 29, 2008 8:57 pm

I am an Indian Citizen and applied for HSMP from U.S with U.S experience. I applied for HSMP on Feb 19th 2008 and it got approved on April 2nd 2008. my HSMP approval letter is valid till Oct 2nd. Now I would like to apply for EC.

Please clarify me for below questions.

1) I applied for HSMP with Feb 2007 to Jan 2008 Earning proofs. Now should I send same earning proofs for EC or should i send last 12 months earnings (ie. Aug 2007 to July 2008)?

2) My savings are splitted into two accounts 1) Bank of America Checking account 2) Bank of America Savings account. As of I know balance in both the accounts should not be less than 2800 pounds. is it Correct?

3) Please let me know what are all the additional documents I should send to British Consulate in US for EC with HSMP approval letter.

4) Please let me know how many days British Consulate in New York is taking to send the passport/documents back. I need passport by Sep 25th since I need to travel to India.

1. Balu you should call British Consulate NY / worldpay and ask them about which statement period do they want to see. it costs just $12 for a call
2. You should have a bank balance (in any number of accounts) not less than 2800 pounds any time in the past three months. Doesnt matter if the total is in one account or distributed across accounts
3. britainusa.com provides all details of the documentation to be sent to the British Consulate NY .
4. Normally British Consulate returns the stamped pp in 5 days asper their website
