Home office reference number for dependant

Sorry if this was already addressed. I tried to search in the boards.

My wife is applying for a dependant visa (I have tier 2, recently extended).

She is asked in the application form if she has my home office reference number. In my last application, I received an email of approval and a BRP by courier, none of them contain the HO ref. number. Should this arrive in a separate letter at some point?

We want her to apply asap, is there any consequences of her not having the home office reference number?

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

From what I saw, the home office reference number starts with the first letter in my surname, followed by digits.

Dependent application asks for any 3 of these.

Home office reference number / GWF number / one more number ( I don remember exactly)

I gave GWF number of the main sponsor which is the number in application.

Thanks but unfortunately, I don't have a GWF, as I applied within the UK.
