How long can Dependent Visa holder can stay when partner holding Tier 2(ICT) is moving back to home country

Hi - Can someone please provide inputs on below questions that I have. Thank you in anticipation.

I am a Dependent Visa holder and currently working with one company, and my partner is here in UK on Tier 2 Inter Company Transfer (ICT) visa with the visa expiry date of more than a year. My partner is now travelling back to home country due to instructions from the company and may or may not return back few months later.

1) Can the dependent visa holder stay back till the visa expires (as currently holds a job)?
2) If yes, then How many months can the dependent visa holder can stay back from the partner's travel back date?
3) If no, then what are the legal issue the dependent visa holder may have to face currently and in future?
4) any other options/guidance for the dependent visa holder to continue the stay in UK?

how do we get a confirmation on this if the dependent can stay back in UK (even if the partner return back to home country) as long as the visa is not expired?
I heard that dependent has to return back with partner as the COS would be revoked, again I hear that dependant can stay back for a 60 days. Not sure what is the exact process and how to get correct information to avoid any issues.

This is slightly different between Tier2 general and tier2 ICT.

Generally Tier 2 ICT sponsors do not revoke the visa due to the possibility of utilising that person for future assignments till his visa end. Hence their visa remains active and tier 2 partner can stay for as long as he has visa in theory.

But in case you need to go back to home country and come again then it's a issue. You'll be questioned on the main holder and his location and if he's still in same role and company as in cos at the ukba.
