Hi Sousa49, My Brown envelope just arrived today from the homeoffice, so happy. Wishing everyone waiting for their own brown envelope a Goodluck. My appreciation goes to the moderators. You all are stars. Thanks and God bless youSous49 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 27, 2019 12:24 pmThank you Ifycamilla .. what upsetted me is that the after they said that I should be contacted in 21 days the most recent upsate( after 18 days of the letter email) they said it is with a case worker again.so they made me totally confused ..
Well we can only wait..it should come at the end. Good luck
Did you miss the fact that there have been 3 bank holidays and festive season and likely reduced staff over this period?? Ho take up to about 20 days to respond, you don't get immediate response from the generic emails.
Thanks so much Sousa49, Don't worry your Brown envelope will soon hit your mail box, I wish you all the best.. my special thanks goes the moderators of the site, Special thanks to CR001, Zimba, Obie, Eusmilewesmile. These guys are pure Stars
Congratulations,Flexstar wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 7:43 pmJust received my brown envelope today! Applied for citizenship in August 2019 and approval letter was dated 24th of Dec 2019. Been stressful waiting because even though it was under 6 months, most friends who applied after me received theirs early. Emailed a few times and no replies.
Whoever is waiting, the approval letter will eventually arrive. I was stressed for a while even while it was approved in December.
Wish you all the best
Thank you so much! Congrats too!Ifycamilla wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 7:46 pmCongratulations,Flexstar wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 7:43 pmJust received my brown envelope today! NationalityFrontEndTechnicalSpecialists@homeoffice.gov.uk. try emailing them to know...
I did and got a reply just now that my application is under background checks to enable case worker to take a decision
So I had 3 updates each one of them is different and step behind.
I am in a complete mess
Thank you Ifycamilla
Sous49 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 1:24 pmHi Sousa49, you did the right thing to email them...I believe the information you got from them is the right one...I did the same thing, I emailed this same email address and they were the people that have me an accurate answer...keep emailing them every week. Put up the pressure on them. I sent 5 emails while my case was with themIfycamilla wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 9:22 pmSousa49

Hi alterhase58,alterhase58 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2020 9:56 pmWhen did you gain ILR status? On or after 28 Oct 2013?Haider wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2020 7:48 pmdear moderator,
I am on ILR for few years and going to do the naturalisation application soon. I did a pearson academic test while applying for ILR. As i am going through the requirement for the naturalisation application, I came across this statement from the relevant gov.uk site, 'You can use a B1 level qualification that’s run out if you’re applying for citizenship and it was accepted when you settled in the UK. It does not matter if the B1 level test you took is not on the current list of recognised tests. You do not need to take another test'.
I guess that means I do not have to take another test. Just like to confirm it you guys. hearing so many random stories about the requirement for language test than I can really use you assurance. thanks guys. Mohammad
Per guidance:
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... n-guidance
"If you met the requirement to have sufficient knowledge of language and life in the
UK when you applied for settlement by having a B1 level test you do not have to
demonstrate it again. (People who applied for settlement on or after 28 October
2013 needed to have had a B1 level qualification.) "
Sousa49 Bro, I sincerely believe that NationalityFrontEndTechnicalSpecialists is more accurate.i emailed NationalityFrontEndTechnicalSpecialists , the replied me next day advising that my application has been approved, I got home dat and saw my brown envelope... meanwhile, I emailed FMT long before I emailed the first people, they only replied me today saying I should be expecting within 21 days, . Meanwhile, I've gotten my approval letter and council invitation for ceremony...please stick to NationalityFrontEndTechnicalSpecialistsSous49 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 2:50 pmHello lovely people , may I please ask you for your opinion/experience
These Naturalisation application contradictive updates I am getting from the Home Office is driving me crazy
I applied on the 23rd of August
The 7th of November my previous MP secretary had very kindly called the HO and got an update that my application is to be allocated to a case worker.
On the 5th of December I emailed the Natiotalitysupporteamfmt@homeoffice.gov.uk team and they said I will be contacted by post with 21 days
On the 23rd of December as I received nothing I contacted the same email and they said it is with a case worker
Today as kindly suggested to contact he Nationalityfrontendtechnicalspecialists@homeoffice.gov.uk as they might be more accurate and they replied that the application is still under background checks
So each reply is a step behind.
Who to believe and what to do?.
Please advise
Thank you IfyCamilla , I will ..do I have any other choice rather than wait.?Ifycamilla wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 4:07 pmSousa49 Bro, I sincerely believe that NationalityFrontEndTechnicalSpecialists is more accurate.i emailed NationalityFrontEndTechnicalSpecialists , the replied me next day advising that my application has been approved, I got home dat and saw my brown envelope... meanwhile, I emailed FMT long before I emailed the first people, they only replied me today saying I should be expecting within 21 days, .
