Marriage to non-EU student GNIB expiring

Post by essjay27 » Thu Jan 09, 2020 12:00 pm

Hi

Myself and my partner have attended the Civil Reg office to give our 3 months notice to marry. We have our acknowledgement from the Registrar confirming the date of receipt of notification of intention to marry. However her student GNIB is expiring 3-4 months before the marriage date.

So I'm not sure how to proceed.
Should we just let her GNIB expire and return to the immigration once we have our marriage certificate?
Should she leave the country?
Or can we get a GNIB extension until the marriage date?

He GNIB expires very soon and she wont be able to get an appointment with the INIS in Dublin before it expires. She is from South America.
