Urgent help on 5yr T2 to ILR PLZ!! Appointment tomorrow

Post by jayhu2020 » Mon Jan 13, 2020 11:21 am

Hi all, my appointment is booked for tomorrow and I'm uploading documents now. However, I found the format of uploading is so different with my checklist. My biggest query is about the Residence in the UK. Does this mean I need to provide my accommodation or just my valid visa in UK for the past 5 years?

If that means the accommodation, how long I should provide for? To be honest, I dont really want to provide all my 5 years record as there was a 2 months gap in Police Registration which may cause problem.

Another question, if I didnt provide all the information (bacause my check list doesnt ask me to provide), will I get refuse directly without asking to provide more information? :|

Anyone can help please!!

Many thanks !!!!

No accommodation docs. Passport, stamps and bio page, only.

HO rarely ask for anything extra unless it is the wrong English requirement you submitted. What do you believe is missing in the checklist?? Note that the checklist in not accurate and is generic. You should be following the immigration rules and guidance notes.

Thanks CR001 for your prompt reply.

My background is that I live in my current address for 3 months (the same as my bank statement and police certificate), so I guess I need to provide more accommodation at least 6 months? However, there was a 2 months gap during this time and that's why I dont want to provide more accommodation letter(like tenancy agreement) than recent 3 months. I also checked all my last 2 T2 G application and I didnt provide any accommodation evidence. Do you have any suggestion on this?

To simply my question and concern, do I need to provide evidence of my accommodation, including current or previous, like tenancy agreement? If yes, how long should I provide?

Also thanks for give a hind to check the immigration rule and guidance not only follow the checklist. Would you please also advise where I can find such instruction? I did check lots yesterday online but didnt find one apply to non-EU persons.

Thank you again!!!

There is no requirement to provide proof of accommodation. It is ONLY required if you have a spouse applying with you to prove cohabitation.

Could you please then advise do I need to provide council tax, bills etc? Could you please also advise where I can find the immigration guidance as the checklist is not reliable?

Many thanks again!!

Will ILR application be affected due to Coronavirus Outbreak

Post by jayhu2020 » Wed Mar 11, 2020 12:27 am

Hi all,
First, much appreciation and thanks to expert's opinions here.

I have the following basic information:

1.With Tier 2 visa for 5 years, expires at 15th of May 2020 with the current employer.
2. Got a new job offer at December 2019, but decided to postpone the offer and apply for ILR at 18th of April 2020 with superior 5 day service, then change to new employer afterwards.
3. Two months notice period

But the coronavirus outbreak seems to be on its toe in weeks now, I am thinking:
1.Will the ILR application be affected? such as closing interview centres (I need to submit documents in person as using 5 days service)
If so, in worst case scenario, I may be stuck in the middle--I have to stay with the current employer until freeze finish. My new employer may not be willing to wait too long, considering I have postponed from December;

2. Instead, should I apply for new Tier 2 (sponsored by new employer) immediately now, then apply for ILR when the virus thing cools down? My new sponsor only reimburse the 8-week postal application route for Tier 2 so I've got to do it that way.
If so, and the virus outbreak does impact these visa offices, I may also need to wait for more than 8 weeks to get my new visa. Without the new visa can I work for the new employer? And the original employer knows I am leaving and get me out after 2 months, so I am in an awkward situation without employment ?

Sorry for the long description, and thanks much for your patient read as well as kind help.

Best,
Jay

It is up to you to make a decision on how to approach this. There is NO postal route for getting a visa. All applications must apply online and attend an appointment :!: For now everything functions as normal, any changes will be communicated by UKVI and UKVCAS. As long as you apply in-time, you'll be covered under section 3C and you will work as normal until you get a new visa.

Old Passport and resident history in application form

Post by jayhu2020 » Sat Mar 21, 2020 10:36 am

Hi,
I am filling in the application for ILR under the 5 year Tier 2 (general) route.

I have re-newed my home country's passport at 2018, which is within the 5 year (2015 -- 2020). Interestingly, the online application form does not ask me for the old passport information. But my friend applied a month ago did emphasised that he submitted both passport (old and new) information and copies.

Did I miss something in the application form or it is a new normal?

As well, the form does not ask me for the past 5 year resident address history, only the current one ( though I have been in this address for 32 months), did I do something wrong?

Many thanks.

Jay
