Document for Switching from Tier-4 to Tier-2 General before Course Completion

Post by ghalibm » Mon Jan 13, 2020 6:07 pm

Hi,

I know that since 2019 we can apply 3 months before course completion for switching to tier 2 general visa.
However, the information regarding the following documents is not clear on the gov website.

1. If the course has not finished yet (finishing on 31st Jan 2020), this means we do not have a complete result or degree at the moment. In this case, which document are we supposed to provide for the application?

2. I am currently doing an MSc course. I will be applying from within UK. Which document do I need to provide for the proof of language?

3. Do I need to provide a TB certificate as well?

Thanks

None. The CAS confirms the employer has checked your course.

None. Having had a previous grant of Tier 4 leave shows it.

No. See https://www.gov.uk/tb-test-visa

I would strongly encourage you to see UKCISA's detailed guide to switching from Tier 4 to Tier 2:

Hi, I am sorry but I fail to understand this part "The CAS confirms the employer has checked your course.". Do I have to provide Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (that was issued when I got admitted to a course in UK)?

Questions While Making an Online Application

Post by ghalibm » Fri Jan 17, 2020 9:07 pm

Hi, I have been applying online for switching for tier 4 to tier 2 visa. I have completed my MSc recently but the final result hasn't been announced yet. Therefore, the complete transcript and degree are not available yet. There are few questions on the visa application form about which I am not sure how to answer. The questions are:

1. Do you have one of the following qualifications? (lists some degrees). I have selected a UK Master's degree (not completed yet, will be completed on 31st Jan).
2. What will you use to prove your level of qualification? It only has two options degree certificate, and transcript or letter. I have selected transcript or letter.

Later, the applications says that you must provide transcript or letter to prove your qualification.

My questions is, which document do I need to provide to prove my qualification? Is it the certificate of registrations that contains course end date? or anything else?

thanks,

Applying 3 months before course completion (Switching from tier 4 to tier 2)

Post by ghalibm » Sun Jan 19, 2020 1:08 pm

Hi,

Sorry, I might be getting redundant asking similar questions, but it is getting a little bit complex as I do not have my MSc degree certificate or transcript yet. I really appreciate the help.

My question is, while creating the application, there is a question that ask "how will you prove your qualification?". There are two answers 1. degree certificate, 2. transcript or letter. I have selected transcript or letter. Since I will probably be submitting the letter, does this letter mean an academic reference (with course title, end date, duration) e.g. enrollment letter?

thanks,
