Spouse/Family Visa Extension

Post by agleason » Mon Jan 20, 2020 12:54 pm

Hello!
I am a US national residing in the UK on a spouse visa. My wife is a UK citizen and my current visa expires in 2022. I will be looking to extend my visa so I can eventually apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain.
I have a great job here in the UK and my wife and I would like to have a child. Our child would be born in the UK and be a UK citizen as well.
How does/will this effect my visa and how do I go about applying for an extension if we have a baby before I can apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain? Has anyone had experience with this?

If you have any advice that would be appreciated! Thanks in advance :)

Having a baby makes no difference to the requirements to qualify for an extsnion or for ilr.

Either of your income can be used if that was your concern.
