Date Biometrics Enrolled: 24 October 2019
Email confirmation: 17 October 2019
Approval Received: 08-01-2020
BRP Card Received: 13-01-2020

So overall duration is 2 months and 27 days . Wish you all the very best.

Hi guys,
I had applied for my ILR - SET (P) in beginning of May 2019 and I'm still waiting for ILR.

Applied for ILR Route : SET(P)
Date application sent : 02-05-2019
Document received by HO : Online
Ack letter received (if applicable) : Email received on 03-05-2019
Biometric Letter received : Email received on 05-05-2019
Date Biometrics Enrolled : 23-05-2019
Payment Debited : NA
Approval/Refusal Received : Still waiting
BRP Card Received : Still waiting

Today 6 months have been completed, no update received yet. I've contacted HO over the phone, the person at call centre said there is no service standard for SET (P) applications however I should have received within SIX months. They've asked me to write a letter to UKVI asking for update. So.......... I'm going to write a letter now.

Update:
I was just about to write a letter today but received letter from HO, saying they aim to process all applications within 6 months but my application has caused some complexity and that they'll process it within 3 more months. (new date given 01 Feb 2020)
So... God willing I shall now wait another 3 months.

Update:
It's now 15 days left and it is really really frustrating! But what else can we do except waiting... It's 258 days since I applied...which is 8 months and 14 days! WOW!

I have been very anxious lately and ended up calling the home office today. They said your application is within 6 months time frame so you’ll have to wait.... so I wait now

Hi all,
I have good news today as I ve been granted ILR. My timeline was as following.
Submitted online application: 06/08/2019.
Biometric enrollment at Sopra Steria: 03/09/2019.
Approval letter for ILR received:19/01/2020.
BRPs cards received: pending.
Note:
The application included 2kids+partner alongside the main applicant.
Good luck to all of you I know how stressful experience it was !! but always keep hope that you will get it at the end.

I’m not sure. But for employers they will need to go on gov.uk website to use employee checking service so they can get a notification from home office allowing the employee to work while application in progress. It’s an online form which says start now at the beginning. I didn’t see Anything What you’ve explained on that page.

Employer will need to wait for home office’s reply which takes 5 working days I think.

I was wondering do employers have to re-do the check say every 30 days while the application is being processed or would the HO just say work is allowed for 6 months or something? What sort of response would employers get from HO? just worried if this is going to be deterring for employers and HR from hiring...

The home office will send a notification to the employer, allowing the employee to work for 6 months. When 6 months about to finish then the employer will need to re-do the right to work check.

I just had a look at the application form, SET (P) form, is there a need for cover letter ?

I have also found these 2 questions weird, I have my parents living back home so not sure what to answer to them:

- Do you have any friends in your country of birth, nationality or any other country where you have lived for more than 5 years?

- Are you part of any social groups or do you have other cultural ties in your country of birth, nationality or any other country where you have lived for more than 5 years?

I would appreciate if someone could help

Cover letter is not necessary....just keep it simple,nothing more and nothing less. I was in the same situation as u with that 2 questions...answer honestly...
Just mention their name relation to you and how do you stay in contact with them...

And for the second question I answered I was never a part of any groups since I never had the opportunity...except for some online social groups.

Just mention their name relation to you and how do you stay in contact with them...

And for the second question I answered I was never a part of any groups since I never had the opportunity...except for some online social groups.

You should not apply until you qualify to apply and that is no sooner than within 30 days before your leave to remain expires.

I applied for my travel document about 3 weeks ago I haven't received anything, Home office used to send letter to say we received your documents but nothing . i might call them by end of month .

Don't worry I applied a bit early maybe a week, my journey took about two months I thought they would reject my application .

Did you have solicitor or you complete the application yourself?
