Returning BRP without tracking

Post by Jon22 » Thu Jan 23, 2020 2:09 am

Hello,
I returned my old BRP via second class mail for a tier 2 visa after getting the new one but I did not track the return. I now wondering if I should have. I did however receive a receipt from the post office for sending an item. But the receipt does not contain any information about where it was sent.

This is the first time I've done a tier 2 extension and so I'm wondering if the home office somehow confirms the return?

Do they send an email or anything like that?
I've googled but I can't find evidence if anyone actually being fined.

Thanks.

No, they don't notify when they receive it.

Thanks. Has anyone actually ever been fined though? I've searched but can't find evidence.

Thanks again for replying :D
One last question, is there any way to contact them to inquire if they received the BRP?

Probably not. The BRP would have been cancelled anyway when your new visa was issued.
