Dependant Visa for my son born in India

Post by hshah » Mon Aug 04, 2008 10:45 pm

Hi,
My son was born in India in May and i am applying his Visa next week. I am a bit confused on the earnings/employment evidence needed in VAF 2 form.

My circumstances are that i was in a permanent job from April,2008 until 08/08/2008 and i am taking up a contract from 11/08/2008 and hence would be self employed as i am the sole director of my ltd company. I have attached the payslips of my permanent job from April upto July and i will obtain a letter from my agency which will illustrate that i am a software contractor working for so and so company from 11/08/2008. Is this evidence enough ?? Do i need to provide any more evidence regarding my employment. Will the british embassy get confused because i will be showing payslips from a different company and letter of employment of a different company.

This is an urgent issue as i am applying my sons visa next week. Any help is much appreicated !! Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Hiren

Not if you can explain the same (like you have done here) in a cover letter to the ECO. Isn't difficult!

Also, it will be a good idea to attach bank statements showing salary credits.
