Hi everyone can someone please help my Dad is Algerian my mum is scotch they have been living and working for xxxxx in Tunisia for over 25 years if not more.before they moved to work in tunisia they lived here maybe in the 1980.now with everything that happend with xxxxx they are planning to move back here they both 68 years old they have a little pension they get from here when they worked here many years ago both of them 6000 pound a year.my mum she is scotch my dad is Algerian he need to apply for a visa please can you advice what he need to do specially the financial requirements.can someone please help I want them back here specially my dad is not very well and I need them here so i can look after them

I always recommend to people to plan life well in advance. Major decisions, such as immigration, have to be taken in consideration as early as possible. Don't wait to be 70 and in urgent need of NHS treatment to start looking at it.

The main issue is to demonstrate earning/saving:

For UK Citizens who live in high earning countries such as Germany or Switzerland, it's usually much easier. There is no absolute right to bring a partner/spouse in the UK [The immigration policy is the same UK-wide. It doesn't change if you are Scottish].

Do they have any other revenue? Or any saving?
