Tier 2 General - Bringing dependants to UK

Dear Sir/Madam,

Need expert inputs on my current situation.

I have T2 general visa and arrived UK couple of weeks back. I am currently staying with a friend temporarily as a paying guest. I am intending to bring my family from India (Spouse+2 kids) soon. They will be coming on a vacation for a month and will return back to India. During this time, I will be continuing my stay as a paying guest in friend's place with my family. By September, we plan to settle here as a family.

My questions are,
1. To apply T2 dependant visas to my family, is address proof mandatory? (utility bills). I do not have proof other than employment evidence. I can arrange for a Bank statement in my friend's address.
2. Do I have to look for a house to acquire the address proof for them to come on a vacation? After they go back, I have to pay rent for few months unnecessarily until they come back.

Please let me know if address proof under my name will be required to process T2 General Dependant visas for my family.
Also it would be really helpful, if you can provide list of supporting documents me and my family should be providing as evidences.
