wht visa does a non-eu national need to live&work in ire

Post by londoneye121 » Thu Aug 07, 2008 2:10 pm

Hi All,

can someone help me with how to proceed to get FamilyVisa for my wife....

Iam a british national planning to move to Dublin to live and work there.
I got married to an indian who is living in india now and i want to bring her to ireland to join me.

I believe that the new court judgement says "ALL NON-EU NATIONALS WHO GOT MARRIED TO EU-MEMBER STATES NATIONALS CAN STAY AND WORK IN IRELAND AND ALSO ABLE TO APPLY FOR GREENCARD"...

please guide me with the following doubts......

1. what kind of visa does she need to apply to come to ireland?
2. can she work freely without any problems during her stay in ireland?
3. how long is the visa valid for?

Looking fwd to hear your views and ideas about the above case...

Thanks in advance.

1.she can apply straight from irish embassy in india, eu1 form
or she can get re-enry visit visa only and apply for eu1 here in ireland
2. if she gets her residence card eufam4 based on eu1 she can work freely
3. this should be issued for 5 years but depend on each case
