ghanian husband - family visa refused

Post by Boona » Wed Aug 06, 2008 11:33 pm

Hi there,

I am a uk resident my husband is Ghanian. He has just recently been refused a family visit. We provided all the relevent documents as follows:

Me - sponsor letter, passport, council tax invoice, pay slips, confirmation of employment
Him - passport, return flight tickets, wedding certificate.

He was refused on the grounds that he "may not return back to Ghana" (something he has every intention of doing!)

He is sending the refusal documents to me in the UK so that I can appeal.

Please can anyone suggest any other documents that I can submit for our appeal?

Please help

Can he demonstrate "STRONG TIES" to his home country, helping to satisfy the requirement that he intends to leave the UK at the end of the period of the visit as stated by him?

Hi, thank you for replying.

I don't know what is considered a "strong tie" he has a 4yr old son in Ghana from a previous relationship and two registered business's there. Unfortunatley he has only recently registered the two businesses therefore he is not currently making any money.
