Settlement Application for Children

Post by buchhalter76 » Tue Feb 25, 2020 2:49 pm

Hi,
I am a neutralised British citizen via Tier 2 route and currently making the SET(0) online application for my sons whose ages are 13 & 10. I have the following inquiries:
1) The registration email address is mine. When I am asked about: Who does this email belong to?, which option should I choose: a) The applicant OR b) Someone else?

2) In the Declaration section, should I tick that a) I am the applicant OR b) I am a representative of the applicant and have been authorised to act on their behalf and have discussed and confirmed the contents of this application with them.

3) For Part 1 of the consent below, should I provide this part and sign OR should I let my sons write their names and sign OR should I not provide this part of the consent at all?
PART 1: Consent for the Home Office to verify application information
You (the applicant) should sign the Part 1 consent, and relevant other parties should sign Part 2 and 3, where they are relevant to your application. You must send them with your supporting documents If you fail to do, your application may be refused.
Where any of the information or documentation also relates to someone else (for example a joint bank account or joint utility bill) you should ask that person or persons to sign PART 2 of the consent form.

Thanks.

Parents will act and sign on behalf of the children. That means all questions asked should be answered as if the child is the applicant while you are filling the form.

Thanks for this clarification.

I have another query about my children's SET(0) online application:
In the "Immigration Details" section, it says: Please enter the country you have lived in. You will be able to enter additional countries after you click save and continue. Include all countries no matter how long you lived there.
My main question is: Should I enter the summer holiday visits to our home country Egypt in this section?

It seems there is now no separate section to enter information on such short-term visits as my wife did in her settlement application a couple of months ago.
I am worried that if I enter these short-term visits as if my children have lived in Egypt during those several summer holidays, this might be considered by HO as interruptions to their continuous residence status in the UK since May 2014.
Any clarification on this confusion would be very helpful.
Many thanks

You should only mention Egypt. Your travels are entered separately

Could you please clarify your advice?

There is no separate section for travel history; only a section for the counties they lived in.

Have they ever lived in Egypt ? If yes then enter only Egypt. If they simply visited, then ignore it
