Multiple Applications

Hi I applied for a Tier 2 General Visa.I am currently on the Tier 4 Dependent Visa.I did a mistake in the application and ticked that the job is in shortage occupation whereas the job want but the SOC code was .So i was advised by a solictior to resubmit another application and pay the fee and everything again and dont withdraw the previous application.I did the same and now home office have got my two applications.My question is that will they know that i have made multiple applications? and will they consider my later application?

Obviously they will know you submitted multiple applications.

They will likely write to you to ask for clarity etc.

Thank you for your reply.I have already included a cover letter with my second application explaining the error i made.
