I would like to know if someone could help me with this matter.
Is there a possibility to ask home office my passport back to get married with my partner?, the passport is expired but I also have ARC .

Useful to state the immigration history and current application (if any). Usually the original passport is not dispatched rather only its scanned copy is sent.

Thing is Registry offices don't accept copies of the passport but the original document.
But if I says to home office that the reason I am asking the passport is for the purpose of marriage and nothing else, would be there any possibility ?

Thank you for the link, but it says when I request the return of my passport, my application would be cancelled.
I am still having an application pending, so am afraid to request my passport back or certified copy.
I visited some law centres but they just say "Register office should accept ARC", but in fact, they don't.
I am having an appeal hearing soon, so before I lose the case and become an illegal stayer (of course there is a possibility I'd win, though!)I would like to get married.
Someone in this forum was mentioning they managed to get married by ARC, I would like to know where it is possible, or is there any other way I can get married without valid passport.

Does anyone has similar experience as me ?
My passport is expired and with the home office, could I get a new passport on my embassy ?
Ive tried to contact HO to get a certified copy of my expired passport but no luck

ARC card is not acceptable rather the only solution is to get the certified copy of passport. You should request it in writing while clarifying your purpose and confirming that you are not withdrawing your application.
