Spouse Visa entry

Hi there,

Me and my partner will shortly begin the process of applying for a spouse visa, I think we have everything sorted financially, proof of relationship and accomodation wise.

I just have a quick question with regards to when the visa is granted, it's my understanding that you get 30 days to enter the country, but is that 30 days from a date we choose during the application? Or the date the application is granted?

We basically want to apply the beginning of May, but won't be wanting to travel until beginning of September-ish?

You can't request a start date more than 3 months ahead.
