Post by aj77 » Sun Apr 10, 2005 10:06 pm

Well when I got my extension for next 3 years I received aletter saying

"Your Application for extension of stay in UK as Highly Skilled Migrant has been considered against paragraph 135D of HC 395 of immigration rules.I am pleased to inform you that your application has been approved for further 3 years.

At the end of 3 years an application may be made to HO for Indefinite Leave to Remain in UK.Application must be made on appropriate form.

Yours Sincerely

is everybody getting the same letter with their 3 years Extension?

I hope what this means is that for those who have received 3 year extension they will be able to apply for ILR after 3 years even if the ILR period is increased to 5 years as per the proposed immigration changes. Let's hope that is the case :-)

Normally, all applications are dealt with using the prevailing rules at the time of granting of LTR.

Surprisingly though, recently there was a different approach to the Working Holiday Visa requirements when cases were handled retrospectively :o

I received the same letter, I guess it's just all about information been made available to you to know what to do before or shortly after the 3 years.
