Life in the UK test - few tips

Post by user5877 » Fri Mar 13, 2020 5:20 pm

I just passed my Life in the UK test on first attempt and wanted to share with everybody how I prepared for it.

In the following order, I did:

1. About 7-10 days before my exam, I bought and read the official Life in the UK book. I have later found it is available for free Online

2. After reading the book once, I started doing online mock exams, few of them every night. Non official weblink removed by moderator. 2 days before the exam day, I had all of them completed.

3. 1 Day before exam I took a day off from work and repeated all 45 mock exams until I had them all completed with score over 75%. After that, I did 10 or 15 exams Non official weblink removed by moderator

4. After doing all mock exams in #3, I read the book from #1 all over again. Reading it 2nd time after doing mock tests, it made a lot of more sense to me than 1st time. That day I spent about 12h revising with breaks.

The next day, I passed the exam in about 5 or 10 minutes. I only didn't know answers to 3 questions.
Overall, the questions were much easier and simpler than on online mock tests.

I passed the exam in Northern Ireland and I believe the test must be localised, as there was a lot of questions about N. Ireland.

That's all from me, hopefully someone will find it helpful in the future.
