Furlough - Govt. Job Retention Scheme - Public Fund

Post by javy0071 » Wed Apr 08, 2020 4:07 pm

Hello,

My wife is on a PBS Dependant visa and is due to apply for ILR in June. Because of the current situation of Covid-19, my wive's employer has furloghed her role and will be paying her using Govt. Job Retention Scheme. Just wanted to confirm if this will be accounted as access to public funds? This isn't her choice, her employer has made this decision. Is she ok to take this pay? We do not want break any rules by taking public funds.

Thanks
