10 year route to 5 year route switch, A1 or A2 test to take?

Post by Monserrat » Thu Apr 09, 2020 5:07 pm

hello

i was granted leave on FLR 10 year route based on partner and British child. i am due to renew and i have decided to switch to the 5 year route. however i have been searching here and please can someone help me clarify my confusion, which English test should i take the A1 Speaking and Listening or A2 Speaking and Listening? i was under the impression the A2 is for the 2nd extention for a further 2.5 years to complete the 5 years and A1 is for the initial 2.5 years. am i correct?

many thanks for your time.

keep well

Correct. You can even pass A2/B1 now to meet the current & subsequent English language requirement without redoing it again.
