Got ILR but Employer not paying salary for that month.

Post by mukeshrawat02 » Fri Apr 17, 2020 4:48 pm

Hello Members,

I applied for my ILR last month (March) and got approval the very next day. I received the BRP as well.
Now the situation is my employer is not giving me the salary for that month (March), which I know is illegal.
And I am a little worried if I complain about this in the employment tribunal, will it impact my ILR status?
What are my options?

Many thanks!

Due to heavy fines and penalties usually no employer stop paying to its worker but still there must be few ones left. There is a very quick fix which is to simply remind them of their obligation while warning to escalate this issue with ACAS in compliance of employment tribunal procedure since 2014. Afterwards if you still won't receive your wages then escalate it with ACAS who will send Early reconciliation notification to your employer and more likely on that point you will be paid. Your ILR won't be affected same as CROO1 already said.
