Tier 1 Entrepreneur extension

Post by txp_london » Sun Apr 19, 2020 9:54 pm

Hi there,

I'm making application to extend my Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa with the beta online system.

I initially switched from Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur route and in my last leave to remain application I have proved my English (degree here) and investment (made into the business prior to switching the visa). The official guideline states that
You will have already shown that you meet the English language requirement without the need to provide evidence, if you were last given permission to stay in the UK under Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) or Tier 1 (Entrepreneur).
and also
You do not need to provide evidence of this investment if you were awarded points under this table in your last grant of entry clearance or leave to remain as a Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) migrant.
However, whilst I selected "Extension" as category of application, the online application form still asks for proof of English as well as evidence of investments, and listed a number of docs as mandatory. Just want to make sure this is not abnormal? Or is there anyway to avoid the hassle?

Many thanks!
T

Missed a police registration record (change of visa status), oops

I'm applying for my Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa extension. I initially switched to this scheme in 2017 and forgot to register with the police on change of my visa status. Realised this a few months earlier and decided to get an appointment with the OVRO, but the earliest appointment date we could get was late April. Now due to the COVID-19 pandemic our appointment was cancelled, so likely we'll be submitting the application with this record missing.

Are we in trouble?

Thank you all..

Re: Tier 1 Entrepreneur extension, online form still asks for English and investment evidences?

The required documents list generated online is generic :!:
Apply without PRC and explain the situation in a cover letter. Your application will only be processed when you submit your biometrics.

Thank you!

Does that mean I still need to submit things like degree certificate, loads of docs For evidence of investment etc, even though they were already proved in my initial application?

Many thanks, T

Wow wow chill mate. I of course did, and thank for that. Just there was perhaps some sort of misunderstanding to my initial question.

I was not quoting the generic list on HO website. I was saying that the new online application formhttps://visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/next, where you could select which category you're applying (initial vs extension). After selecting the category (in my case extension), the form still asked for information which to me feels like questions applicable to initial applications. After filling the form, it generates a list of docs required to your very own application (so NOT supposed to be a generic list), which to me looks like the doc list for initial application again.

I hope this does explain the question a bit better? If that's exactly what you meant as normal, then the system is quite a bit confusing to me. It does ask me to submit a lot of docs which seems inapplicable, and marked those as mandatory. So I'm unsure how do I only submit docs required by the guideline, or is it ok to skip items requested by the list (For example, skip the degree certificate item?)

I was explicitly talking about the online form. The list generated is still generic for extension applicants who are expected to prove their investment as it does NOT take into consideration all the factors. Your case will be evaluated based on immigration rules not what is on the form. Your should satisfy the requirements as per rules.
